Our Resource Base for Deaf Children

At Tany’s Dell school we have a Resource  Base for deaf children. We offer highly qualified staff to support deaf children throughout the school from Nursery to Year 6. We have two specialist Qualified Teacher’s of the Deaf (QToD) and experienced staff who specialise in working with deaf children. We use a child-centred communication approach using speech and sign language (Signed Supported English and British Sign Language). We work both in mainstream classes and also offer small group work in Base Camp. Our aim is to provide each child with a  safe, inclusive environment to enable them to reach their full potential. All children are fully included in mainstream activities.
