Governors Report to Parents
CHAIR OF GOVERNORS ANNUAL REVIEW
2016 was another productive and exciting year for the Governing Body. We welcomed three new governors: Katie Pollard, Andrew Rivers and Matthew Nash.
After numerous meetings and a lot of persistence from Mrs Ingram, Essex County Council eventually paid some money towards the new dining room, and our wonderful new car park was completed. Councillors Mike Danvers and Danny Purton were very helpful, attending meetings and giving advice. We also have a promise that the windows will be replaced on a rolling programme. We have been asking for this since I joined the GB ten years ago!
Our expansion has now reached Year 5, and we have made new teaching and LSA appointments. In September 2017 our expansion will be complete. A new teacher of the deaf was also appointed.
We have strengthened our links with Fawbert & Barnard’s and Harlowbury Schools and have been working together to pool ideas and share training. We hope to further develop this in 2017.
Our thanks go to Mrs Miele and her staff, who do such a fantastic job. I would also like to thank parents for their support and help in all sorts of ways. Especially by ensuring your children attend regularly and are ready to learn. Our attendance is now above the level expected by Ofsted. If you have any questions, please speak to one of our parent governors or leave a message for me at Reception, and I will contact you.
Tany’s Dell is a Good School, on its way to Outstanding, and I am proud to be associated with it.
